"Crafting Compassion: Speaking about Self-Publishing Children's Books for a Changing World at SCBWI"

I just did an event with the The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), it was a fantastic gathering of authors, translators, and illustrators.

Being part of the SCBWI event was an honor, and it was fantastic to connect with fellow creatives who share a passion for storytelling. I'm grateful for the chance to contribute to a community devoted to the magic of children's literature.

During the session, I talked about how I started as an author and my ultimate goal which is raising awareness about bullying through storytelling. I emphasized why it's crucial to release these books now, to address issues like bullying in our society.

We also discussed the process of working with a translator for the bilingual versions of my books, touched on reception my books so far, and we dug into the details of self-publication and crowdfunding, discussing everything from creating engaging stories to collaborating with illustrators and managing crowdfunding campaigns.

What an event!

Let's Start a Dialogue:

Principals and Teachers, I extend a heartfelt invitation to engage in open conversations.

Together, let's address concerns, exchange ideas, and craft experiences that transcend. Let's embark on a journey to enrich minds and create a lasting positive impact on the lives of students.
